Today was a little less eventful in the "spirit" department. My Mom did NOT wake up and "see" any meaningful images!
Unless of course you consider Onyx peering out from her cat stand basket, as meaningful.
"The peerer"
Our new plumber Richard Hart came early to do some work. My Mom thinks he's terrific.
My Mom's plan for the rest of the day was to continue filing the dozens of papers she's been piling up while doing a million other things.
She's nearly done thank God. I say thank God because it's bothered her A LOT and she really wants to get a move on regarding finishing the books we've begun.
AND, with our website launching soon, she thinks she's going to be VERY busy!
Onyx thought she was being a big help by scoping out the file drawer.
"Yep, this is where the papers go"
"Plenty of room back here"
"And plenty this way too!"
By the way, Onyx and her catnip mouse (made by our friend Page), are at my Mom's side as we're writing.
"Onyx and her catnip mouse"
Onyx was quite fixated on the Blue Jay who had the NERVE to eat some bread my Mom had tossed out earlier...RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER!
Did the bird realize that Onyx is in a zipped up and netted catpen? Are they that smart? I'd say yes, because without the netting, Onyx would have skipped the bread and gone for the bird! Maybe.
I say maybe because my Mom has pointed out plenty of bugs in the cabin and Onyx really hasn't seemed interested... in the least.
Even when they are walking right in front of her! Maybe she's looking for the bigger bait, like a mouse or as I suggest, a bird.
She does spend a lot of time staring at the stove and the cabinet area. I really hope there isn't a mouse in there somewhere and if so, that my Mom and I never have the pleasure of seeing it.
I'm including a photo of Onyx in her catpen IN THE HOUSE! What's up with that? I guess it doesn't matter to her whether she's in it, inside or outside!
"The nerve of this bird"
She's certainly a character and it almost seems like she waits for my Mom to notice, so my Mom can take a photo of her.
"This girl is a character"
Also here is a photo of a furry looking Blue Jay from earlier today. My Mom wasn't sure what he or she was doing, if anything.
"The Puffer"
Was the bird puffing up to show strength or a young bird ready to shed its baby feathers? We don't know, but we welcome them to visit!
Thanks for reading. It's nice to know that someone is listening.
