My Mom is on the back deck with Onyx.
She's eating potato chips and a cheddar cheese spread made from plant milk and cashew milk?
Frankly, I didn't know plants and cashews had milk. Is that really a thing?
I'm so confused. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about food anymore, being a spirit and all.
This "cheese spread" doesn't look like cheese to me. I'd pass thanks.
My Mom is once again trying to be conscious of where her food comes from.
We watched "You Are What You Eat" on Netflix and that stirred her up again.
She didn't know that there were farm factories with cattle that do not step one hoof on grass and they eat all day long,
standing right next to another member of that "herd".
We don't even want to know how they die, let alone think about this inhumane way of living.
So, my Mom is on a new mission (I hope it lasts) where she will look for beef that is raised ethically and humanely.
Why eat beef at all?
Well, mainly, she says that her body feels good when she eats beef.
She has been known to crave an "emergency" hamburger when she feels physically depleted.
It may be all in her mind but she said she's not convinced of that.
It's a food adventure that I'm sure I'll fill you in on as time goes on.
And there's so much more I want to tell you about anyway!
If your new to this show, my Mom's former neighbors, Yidong and Ningtao, have a dog named Lois.
My Mom refers to Lois as "her darling Lois". If you have read our books, Lois is in more than a couple of them.
You see, second to me, my Mom loves Lois, in the dog category anyway.
Well, Lois is right this minute on her way back to Florida with her Dads. That is really where their home is.
Yidong, Ningtao and Lois were in New York City this past year because of Yidong's work
(he's a professor and a writer). Ningtao can work anywhere (I think) because he's a really smart data scientist.
These guys are so brilliant in their fields.

Lois in Central Park
My Mom has always liked them, except when my Mom wanted to bring Lois to California. Her Dads could not bear the thought.
Oh, by the way, Onyx did not like Lois. At all. She was soooo happy that Lois wasn't moving with us.
She made Lois stay by the front door of our apartment when Lois was staying with us.
Trapped like a rat by Onyx
I think Onyx was a tad bit jealous of my Mom's love for Lois.
I always thought my Mom had enough love to go around.
Onyx never grasped that concept.
Here's a beautiful photo of "darling" Lois back in Florida.
Thanks for reading! Hope you're enJOYing yourself in our company!
