Hot as blazes in the sun but there's a lovely breeze on the back deck this evening.
Onyx is eyeballing something out here.
Not sure what she's got her eyes on. A bird I hope, since we haven't seen anyone in the birdbath recently.
A tiny bird came by but scooted away.
My Mom's sister, Robin 😊, is on her way over soon, for dinner.
This morning, my Mom went to meditation, which was awesome. I've been going with her.
At the beginning, my Mom asked everyone for prayers, positive energy, for Max, (the 39 year old horse) who lives at the Equestrian Center.
Kristin, the owner, texted my Mom to say she moved Max to a single stall. We think that's a good idea.
It's probably easier for Max to access food and water, since he's not moving that easily.
My Mom goes back on Sunday, so we hope Max will be better in his new location.
My Mom had Pilates with Brett (Howard) today. He's been teaching my Mom for nearly 10 years.
They have been doing this virtually since COVID. And because he's in Jersey City, New Jersey, virtual sessions are perfect!
Brett travels internationally to certify Pilates teachers, he just got back from Thailand and Korea, doing just that.

By the way, have I ever mentioned that Onyx sometimes attends my Mom's Pilates classes? She's a riot.
My Mom tells Onyx, "Pilates are starting soon!"
Onyx takes her time walking up the stairs and positions herself either in the middle of my Mom's Pilates' mat,
or off to the side where she can listen to Brett, who always greets her.
She did that in New Jersey too, Brett and my Mom think it's the funniest thing.
Later in the afternoon, my Mom had her first meeting with her new California accountant, Jennifer Woods.
My Mom was referred to Jennifer by her Sangha friend Patty.
My Mom knew she would like Jennifer right away when she spotted Jennifer's dog "Bean".
He is the cutest boy. He was a street rescue. Jennifer said Bean has perfected the "sit for a treat" pose.
My Mom gave little Bean a "10" for his perfect stance, as you see below.
My Mom had been worried about her business taxes, since moving here to Tahoe,
Now that she has met Jennifer, she feels she's in good hands and will get on track to make sure she's doing everything correctly.
My Mom also went to her bank to see what she'll need to open a business account, once that's done, she'll close her New Jersey account.
Just another bit of closer on the New Jersey door and establishing more ties in California.
My Mom thinks that's just fine. We are very happy to be here in California, and especially in South Lake Tahoe.

Be swift to Love,
make haste to be kind.”
