We're back home again.  The place is in one piece, no tufts of cat hair that I can see!

Onyx is sooooo glad to see our Mom.  I definitely heard a sigh of relief.  

After all, who has more patience and understanding for this temperamental darling other than my Mom?

Onyx lounged on top of my Mom when my Mom was relaxing on the sofa and at bedtime, 

Onyx set herself down in her cat carrier which sits in my Mom's bedroom under the dresser drawers, conveniently facing my Mom.  

I don't think Onyx has ever spent the night there.  I imagine she wanted to keep an eye on my Mom,

to make sure she wasn't going anywhere.  No photo! Darn!!

Today Onyx lounged well, in the sun.  Probably exhausted from the stress of my Mom having been away.

This morning, Kirk Weik, the painter came by.  He and his partner Rick Staff, 

will be oiling the exterior logs on the cabin and painting the trim and shutters.

Kirk got right to work getting the cobwebs off the logs and then hosing any dirt from them too.

The cabin will be getting a new look as we head into winter.  Stay tuned!
