Yesterday my Mom took her sister Robin out to dinner at Evan's, one of the best restaurants in South Lake Tahoe.  

Good food!

They were celebrating new beginnings for both of them really.  Robin has a new house and Maisy Star books are getting a new start!

My Mom sincerely misses her favorite New Jersey restaurants and food stores (GPs and Cafasso's in particular!).  

But Evan's is a lovely spot for their celebrations.  I'm sharing some of my Mom's photos of the food, to show you just how beautiful (and delicious) the food was (according to my Mom and Robin).

Today it was back to work.  My Mom spent the day typing her handwritten notes (which become blog posts) into her computer.  

The One and Only

Have I told you already that she's doing this?  Her friends Deb and Deb (they are the Moms of "the one and only Emmett from Rochester, New York), gave my Mom an iPad and an Apple Pencil for her retirement and 70th birthday (SUCH a generous gift!!).  

She's supposed to write on the iPad with the Pencil and it will automatically translate the written text into printed text.  

My Mom loves writing in her notebooks with a Sharpie.  There in lies the dilemma.  

Now I don't want to be disrespectful, but my Mom is an "old dog" so to speak (no offense Mom) who desperately needs to learn this new trick.  She CANNOT continue to do this double duty of writing and then typing. 

She was the judge, now it's my turn to be the judge of her.

And that's that.

And so, she plugged it in !  Thanks Debs!  Paws crossed that this works for my Mom!
