Well, my Mom finished editing yesterday's blog, after spending way too much time on it, and decided she didn't want to write anything new in her iPad because the editing is brutal.
So, she came outside with her "temple book" and colored markers, intending to draw and wax poetic.
Temple book, chips, markers and no wax.
However, things didn't seem to work out that way. My Mom opened her temple book and decided she didn't have the inspiration for that book.
So here we are seemingly never without a loss for words thank goodness, since we do fancy ourselves as writers.
So my Mom paid bills and worked on editing while Onyx was busy keeping an eye on the front deck and yard while a striped fellow, we think was a chipmunk, spent an inordinate amount of time running up and down the Jeffrey pine, and digging into the pine cone on the deck. Seems it was fascinating for both chipmunk and cat!
Can you see the chipmunk? Half in and half out of the sun!
Later, Onyx had her eye on a white collared squirrel, not the Wall Street type, simply a squirrel with a white area of fur around his or her neck and shoulders.
Where is my Mom when we need a photo!
This guy or gal was VERY busy munching on everything he or she came across.
My Mom asked Onyx if she had seen the little chipmunk again but Onyx didn't respond. (She is so rude sometimes.)
My Mom hopes the little chipmunk didn't run into any troubles i.e. eaten by a predator!
Speaking of predators, when my Mom was outside, she set up both of Onyx' outdoor pens and Onyx was to trying escape!!!
Onyx looks so innocent here, when two minutes ago, she was trying to get out!
If this girl ever escaped, we would fear for the worst. For sure she'd either go under the back deck, without a chance of my Mom being able to get her out from underneath, up a tree which would require a fireman, or dinner for a coyote!
None of these options are good!
Well it's getting buggy out here and it's time for dinner, (not by a coyote!), so we'll catch up soon.
Love that you care enough to read about us! Nite!
