September 18, 2024 Marybeth and Kathe Make a Short Visit to Gardiner.
Following up on yesterday, after introducing themselves to the hounds and horses, my Mom and Kathe decided to go to Gardiner Market in Gardiner, Montana, to buy more than just necessities, since they don't think they want to travel at night or travel on the rocky road to the ranch, more than is necessary.
And that's what they did. They bought food for a couple of meals, and stopped at a local restaurant in Gardiner.
My Mom tried Bison for the first time, and maybe the last.
She said it tasted like beef but that she wasn't sure that it worked well in her system.
She said she was tried afterwards. Fillers?
When they returned to the ranch, Tanya suggested that my Mom and Kathe join her on the main house porch for a cold drink.
Kathe and my Mom brought Prosecco and they sat together chatting until it was time to bring the horses in from the pasture.

And what a glorious pasture these horses feast upon! It is sooo lush!

My Mom wondered by we'd have to go out to the pasture
to bring the horses in (why don't they come when called?),
but Tanya said it's because the horses would rather stay out and eat the lush grounds.
That made a lot of sense since the pasture looks so beautiful
and undoubtedly tastes like the freshest of salads ever!
So the horses galloped in and there were alfalfa treats spread around the corral for the horses to enjoy.

We had an opportunity to see them again. Gosh they are all so beautiful.
I sure hope we'll get to know them more personally, soon.
Tanya went out to dinner at a neighbor's and Kathe and my Mom had dinner in, watched a movie and listened to the wind and rain that had come up.
And that was that. Time for bed.
