The End of Mom's Beginner Animal Communication Course.

October 12, 2024 The End of Mom's Beginner Animal Communication Course.

Today was the last class of my Mom's animal communication course!

Wow! I can tell you it was something!

It's a study that my Mom wants to continue. Not that she wants to be like her teacher Sharon Loy (well in some ways, yes).

My Mom doesn't want to be an animal communicator as a profession, she just wants to be more communicative as a human, period.

Whether what she is learning is telepathy, deeper sensitivity, centeredness, empathy or just plain old compassion, she wants it.

She thinks it's good for her soul, her heart, her creativity, her relationships.

One of the last practices today was connecting to a classmate's companion animal and asking he or she 3 questions that the classmate wants to know the answer to.

The photo of Onyx at the top of this post, is the photo that was used in this practice.

Ka'ohulani, my Mom's classmate from Hawaii, connected with Onyx and answered my Mom's questions.

Before any questions were asked, Onyx told Ka'ohulani that she wants to be the boss, that she has to be strong because our Mom is strong!  (Oh boy.)

The first question my Mom wanted to know the answer to was whether Onyx could stop scratching the leather sofa!

Onyx told Ka'ohulani that this would have to be a negotiation (because she does it for attention)!

Can you see my eyes rolling? Oy, that girl!

The second question was whether Onyx understands why my Mom either has Onyx in a cat pen or in a harness with a leash, when she's outside.

Onyx said she understands because our Mom takes good care of her, that she is aware of wild animals but, that she wants to be outside.

I guess she answered the question, but I recognize that she just wants it her way!

Untethered, but that's not happening!

So, this afternoon my Mom harnessed Onyx up and began sweeping up the pine needles and cones on the front porch and yard.

A 95 gallon container nearly filled with pine cones!

Onyx eventually came outside and in 2 seconds flat she stepped between the porch rails and jumped to the front yard!

She marched around a bit, getting tied up around some growing young trees and eventually slipped out of her harness.

Good Lord!  This happened when my Mom's back was to Onyx.

So, my Mom saw Onyx, saw that she was out of her harness and raced over to Onyx, who clearly wanted to continue along her own way!

My Mom grabbed her, and put her in the house!

GOOD LORD!!

We'll see what happens next with this harness idea.  My Mom may have to get a different type of harness!
