Lots of time outside today!
Mom went to take care of the horses in Gardnerville, Nevada.
The horse with his tongue out, is Wiki; he really isn't sassy, it's just that my Mom caught him in the middle of chewing!
He wasn't giving my Mom the raspberries, really! Wiki is all up for treats but grooming, not so much.
My Mom figures, he has to get used to her or maybe, he doesn't want to be touched when he is not feeling well.
Crescent moon Max at 40 years old, I think he really loves my Mom
The boys, left to right: Liam, Wiki and Scooter
My Mom thinks Scooter is the sweetest boy
When she got back home, she took Onyx outside on her long leash.
Onyx REALLY wanted to go outside this morning but my Mom was too focused on getting herself together to see the horses.
Onyx was very happy to finally be outside
Oh and guess what? More outside activity for my Mom!
Starting tomorrow, for 4 days a week, my Mom will be walking Winnie. Winnie is Cayla's Alaskan Husky. And if you don't know who Cayla is, you are definitely behind in your Blog reading! Cayla is Onyx' cat sitter!
Cayla has a new job, and starts this week. Before this happened, my Mom had told Cayla that she'd like to walk Winnie.
My Mom figured it would be a way for her to "get outside", since South Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in the world!
And, it will get my Mom walking! It's a Win Win, Winnie!
I swear, everyone my Mom meets is either going on a hike, coming back from a hike or planning a hike!
Ok, a dog walk around the neighborhood isn't exactly a hike nor a typical Lake Tahoe outdoor adventure, but, a person has to start somewhere right?
Plus, my Mom loves Winnie, she is the sweetest girl. Oh! And my Mom will stop in to see "Doug", Cayla's cat too.
Doug is a great boy. My Mom thinks he's really smart AND likes the activity of having people and animals around.
Onyx' outdoor sauntering may be curtailed once the snow starts falling but who knows, she may surprise us and want to be outside then too!
More to come about horses and Life! Thanks for reading!
