Wednesdays are usually jam-packed for my Mom.
Now with her Winnie walking duties and taking Onyx out on a long leash in the yard.... what can I say, she's busy, in a really good way, but, she was laughing telling someone about her new outdoor activity (finally) and that it's too bad it didn't start in the nice weather! Now it's starting to get cold!
Well, my Mom is happy to be out in the air and walking and feeling the Earth beneath her feet. In meditation this morning, there were two things my Mom took away from it.
One was, "To be one with", sort of like just being "present" even without words.
To just BE, with yourself, with others, with tasks, with everything. The other is "the practice of non-practice".
My Mom said she thinks it's about not thinking about breathing in and breathing out,or trying to quiet your mind. Just "Being". Doing nothing.
My Mom shared in the group that she thinks horses are really "one with" the Earth. They've got four hooves planted firmly on the ground, being "present" in their bodies as they STAND.
She's not sure we really do that as humans, do nothing and just "BE".....feet on the ground, doing nothing. Then she shared that she is standing on the ground while Onyx explores the yard with my Mom following slowly behind.
She says she's trying to be "One" with the Earth, "One" with Onyx. My Mom was also "one with" Gray today. Gray is our cat who passed in 2019.
Gray is the subject of both Books 3 and 4 of our Maisy Star Series.
My Mom read Book 3 in his honor today and also put some milk and treats near his ashes, and lit a candle for him. We loved him so much.
Our little Gray tribute, not that he was so little.
Below are some of my Mom's favorite photos of Gray. We've used some of these in our Book 3 about Gray.
And just as an aside, when my Mom was putting these photos together, she started to cry. Not so much because she loved him (which she did with all her heart) but because for the first time, she "read" his love for her in his eyes.
This is what she learned in her animal communication course. And I guess I can see it now too.
We're pretty sure you've lost loved ones, humans and/or animal companions.
Keep your heart door open, there's plenty more to give and just as much to receive.
We hope you are feeling our love. We have plenty more to share.
If you have any comments or thoughts, you can always text my Mom at 201-388-0241, or email her at [email protected]
Life is short. Be kind! Love a lot!
