From Judge to Storyteller:
I think that when I began sending messages to everyone on my contact list, about my books and Maisy Star, there was a lot of confusion as to exactly who Maisy Star is or was.
That is totally my fault, for not explaining to those of you who never knew that I had written and still write in the voice of my deceased dog Maisy.
I think there are a lot of contacts that I have, who never knew that about me.
Maybe you only knew me as a Judge (in a good way I hope). 😊
During Covid, and until I retired in April of 2022, I was working from home (holding Court in my living room via the Court's internet platform).
But after work and on the weekends, I worked on putting together 6 books, written in Maisy's voice.
The books were really about my daily life through Maisy's eyes, and focused on whichever rescue companion animal was living with me at the time.
My plan was to transition from the bench to writing full-time.
This journey for me has never been about profiting from my writing, it has always been about generating money for animal rescue or other charitable organizations.
While doing so, I hoped and do hope, to bring some joy into the lives of friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, animal lovers, people lovers, and on and on.
I'm not sure if this will help you understand why you have had contact from Maisy (by me). And perhaps those folks who did not understand, have already opted out from my messages.
I'm sorry about that, because if you are on my contact list, we have had some positive connection through the years and I have valued knowing you.
My writing and promoting is a work in progress but I am passionate about it.
Writing is one of my "love languages".
I'm expressing myself and sharing thoughts I hope will open people's hearts even further.
I believe that we are connected to every being and every bit of nature on this Earth.🌎
I'm hoping that I am helping us stay connected in the voice of Maisy Star.
