Seems like a long time since I wrote last,
but there was something my Mom wrote and posted on Facebook, in between.
The post was on March 15th.
It was about snow building up on our back deck and my Mom having anxiety over it.
People read it and I think they thought my Mom was suffering, or she wasn't her usual positive self.
She wouldn't characterize what she was feeling as suffering, but she did kind ofgo low for a moment, and then let the quiet of the next day, retrieve her usual self.
My Mom now sees an emotional "dip", as an opportunity to release "old stuff" that was hanging on for far too long.
Not that she could actually connect the "low" to a specific old memory from the past.
She just felt it as a sort of a wax build up, or a gas bubble that needed to be released.
No labeling, no identification with anything, just a hitch in her giddy-up, or something stuck in her craw, that needed to be released so she could move forward.
I think that in the past, my MOM would get kind of depressed, or even more anxious over a moment like this.
But now, she actually sees it as a positive thing to happen, to sort of "organically" heal herself.
And for my Mom, since we do think she has healing hands,
(at least that's what the American Indian Spirit's horse, at Gina's office told her) see blog post from 1/29/25.
She immediately wrote about the snow experience.
The release was pouring out through her hands, to her pen and on to paper.
And, when people read her story, we think it was healing for others too, because it naturally triggered their compassion as expressed to my Mom.
And we think compassion is healing, for the giver and the receiver.
It's a beautiful cycle.
Speaking of compassion and LOVE,
I'll share some photos sent to us about LOVE shared,
through the eyes and HEARTS of others.
Do you know Michelle Santana, my Mom's friend, and psychic medium?
My Mom talks about Michelle encouraging her to write through her grief, after I passed.
Michelle is mentioned In every book of my Maisy Star series, on the "About The Author" page. ❤️
This brings me the long way around, to Michelle's sister Gilda, another huge animal LOVER.
This photo is of Gilda's pup Ru (short for Rupert).
Big Wheels Ru
Little Ru was found hopping around in an empty lot.
The person who found him realized he needed specialized care, and brought him to Miami Dade Animal services.
Two doctors worked together to figure out a solution to enhance his mobility.
Voila!
Customized wheels for Ru!
Gilda says he's a tough little guy (geez he'd have to be).
Here's Ru with his big brother Maus (now deceased).
Ru and big bro Maus
LOVE abounds in Florida and in Gilda's big HEART!
I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with the Big Bear Valley eagles, but they are adored and passionately followed and LOVED via web cam, by hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world.
Parents Jackie and Shadow have 2 eaglets in their family nest, which is 145 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine, in the San Bernardino National Forest.
We have a Jeffrey Pine next to our cabin, maybe you've seen the photo, from blog post 6/19/2024
It's the very thick tree to the right of the front deck. Not a full view, but it is HUGE.
We haven't seen any eagles yet!
Here are Jackie and Shadow:
My Mom's family has a new member, her name is "Lily", she will be LOVED for sure, by my Mom's nephew Michael, his wife Joyce, son Brett, and daughter Charlotte.
Here she is:
Welcome to the family Lily!
This photo is of S.J., on a Birthday trip to an aquarium.
I put this photo at the top of this post, well, because it is a beautiful connection.
I think that S.J. may already be telepathically communicating with the big guy,
on the other side of the glass. Instant LOVE!
Happy Birthday S.J.!
Mom's friend Paula, also formerly of New Jersey and now a California resident, recently visited the LA Arboretum in Arcadia, California.
These wild peafowl, photographed by Paula, specifically, The Blue Indian Peafowl a.k.a. Pavo Cristatus, are spectacularly beautiful.
Thanks for sharing Paula!
Here are 2 of the many photos she took and shared, with great LOVE:
Look closely for the peafowl feathers!
This photo is of Emmett the boy, and Eddie the cat, from Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Emmett is holding a big bundle of LOVE.
Emmett and Eddie
Lastly, but NEVER EVER forgotten, my Mom's darling Lois❤️, from Sarasota, Florida.
In this photo, Lois is trying on her new non-slip socks.
Her Dads are trying everything to protect Lois from a slip and fall, that might upset her bones and muscles.
A lot a lot of LOVE for Lois! ALWAYS!
Non-slip darling ❤️
Well, that about wraps it for today!
Mom is visiting the horses tomorrow, so we should have more stories, maybe photos too!
We sure appreciate you reading our stories and considering supporting animal rescue.
Thank you. ❤️
And this is from my Mom, she read it this morning during her quiet time:
"Love can soften any circumstance."
It's a mindset to hold.
Love Maisy❤️
