No worries, you can smell it tomorrow! Take time to LOVE instead!

March 29, 2025 Procrastination Stinks!

March 29, 20258 min read

Remember the piles of snow and papers piling up, and making my Mom anxious?

Well, there's more snow coming, and the papers are still there, but not an ounce of anxiety in sight!

During my Mom's reading this morning, she had some very soothing thoughts:

1. There's no rush, you have an eternity; and

2. Enjoy your "humanness".

Those are her thoughts.

Some of what she had been reading came from,

"The Oracle of The Sacred Horse".

The words within the "Winter's Heart" section suggests remaining in the present moment, and with the cycles of nature.

Horses aren't carrying with them thoughts about yesterday, nor are they thinking about tomorrow's wind or rain storms.

They are NOW.

And who says procrastination is a bad thing?

Why do you have to label that pile of papers or things to take to the post office, as living breathing piles of procrastination?

Maybe you were just ahead of yourself, and were really too early in putting them on a list! Right?

Boycott lists!

My Mom's emerging philosophy is, SLOW DOWN, take a rest, process the present moment.

Maybe it doesn't matter if that "list" ever gets done, OR EVEN GETS STARTED!

Maybe you'd be happier if you weren't always pressing forward.

Where do you think you're going anyway?

I chose a dog's life, only a decade or so, sad, sweet...it had everything rolled into one.

And now I'm having the opportunity to be a part of my Mom's life experience.

Who would have thought?

Maybe that's what will happen for my Mom too.

Maybe she'll be a part of another experience?

Maybe her ashes will become part of a tree standing beside someone else's cabin or house, for another 900 years, like the Juniper tree in our yard.

Or maybe the fruit of the tree will be eaten by a bird who has offspring, that will fly my Mom and me as far as the eye can see.

Or maybe we'll be horses sharing a paddock in Nevada and be cared for by the most caring loving people.

So maybe there is no rush.

Maybe this really is a continuum.

Maybe RIGHT NOW you can simply enjoy your "humanness", your human experience, in the body you were born into.

You have a place on Earth, it is your here and now.

Yesterday was just that, tomorrow is awaiting you, and right now is RIGHT NOW.....what you are seeing and hearing and feeling with your human body.

Maybe NOW is the time to simply LOVE what is in front of you or where you are standing or sitting.

Now I'm going to share with you some "views", that are
LOVED by other humans and hopefully you too.

Below is pussycat "Buddy", Sally was taking care of him while his parents were away.

He's so...."in the present moment".

This is Donna's "Han" right after a groomer trip.  He feels so fresh!

Remember Sasha from the last post? This is a very beautiful photo of her.

What are you thinking about Sasha?

What are you thinking about Sasha?

Lynn's "Dixie" is quite fine traveling to wherever her Mom wants to take her.

 I'm with you, Mom

I'm with you, Mom

Momma "River", Becca's beauty had just had some carrots from my Mom.

She's like a movie star.

I don't think River has a bad side

My Mom's favorite, Scooter, looks very good for a pretty old guy.

He has beautiful coloring.

The mountains in this shot almost look like a phony backdrop.

Nope, they're for real. Taken on the way home from the horses.

Jo Ann's grandson John is surrounded by 75+ postcards from all over the country.

His class won, they were first to get a postcard from every state.

What a fun way to learn!

Here's our pussycat Onyx sunning on the back deck.

Here she is again, this time investigating the greenhouse.

 Anybody in there?

Anybody in there?

Mom's friend Anna was in Hawaii this past week.

She couldn't wait to put her toes in the sand.

How beautiful is this?

How beautiful is this?

And, last but NEVER least, is our Darling pup Lois, who is staying with Effie and Pengyu for a few days.

Darling Lolo

We hope you enjoy the photos filled with beauty and LOVE.
Don't forget to go
SLOW and REST as often as possible.

There should be some flowers to stop and smell pretty soon.

Be a good human while you're at it.

The world needs more of you.

Love,

Maisy❤️
