April 23, 2025 Nature's Beauty is Alive and Well in The State of Utah!
Well, here we are in Utah, visiting my Mom's sister Robin!
My Mom was pleasantly surprised about the terrain.
She was thinking, dusty and dry, unlike the lush green of the trees on the mountains in Lake Tahoe.
Although there is plenty of dry in Utah, the rock cliffs are unbelievable, and magnificent in their formations, which have been millions of years in the making!
The differences between these 2 areas of the country are like night and day.
But, beautiful is beautiful.
And that's what's happening here in Utah, everywhere we look.
There is open land that goes on forever and National Parks at every turn.
If you are a hiker, rock climber, camper, bicyclist, off-road vehicle person, or simply a nature lover, this is your spot!

This photo was taken as we headed from the airport in Salt Lake City and the photo at the top of the blog was taken on our way too!
The beginning of one of the many canyon trails.
This may very well be from the trail coming out of the canyon, huge cliffs of rock in the background.
It was amazing to be surrounded by these walls of rock and, it was soooo quiet. My Mom said it felt like a "sacred" place.
This rock formation is called Castleton Tower; Robin will climb it soon! She is AMAZING!!
And you will not guess, or maybe you will, that my Mom and Robin visited Miro, a lot, alot.
Miro is the beautiful horse who lives down the road from Robin.
My Mom and Robin think Miro has some health issues, plus a no place to get out from the weather, issue, and no herd to be part of, issue.
He's not in harm's way, but they would like to see him living his best life.
But, maybe this is his best life right now.
He's not their horse and there's not much they can do for him, but Love him, from the fence.
In the meantime, we're sending him LOVE and protection vibes.
We hope he's open to receiving!

It was dusk when we first saw Miro in his pasture.
Miro is a stunner.
This was when my Mom first introduced herself to him.
He agreed to let my Mom touch him.
Miro was sticking his tongue out which is a sign of relaxation.
I think that Miro really liked that he had visitors.

There will be more to come but not for today.
My Mom has had 2 trips and 2 visitors over the course of the past 3 weeks.
She's been 3 weeks out of her routine.
But, she's home now, and in her sanctuary with Onyx and me.
She'll settle in and I'll have much more to tell you about.
Tomorrow she'll go to the ranch and find her footing.
Horses can do that for you, just ask my Mom.
